Moira Ryan began her dance training at the Harrison Dance Studios at the age of 10 and continued through graduation from high school. Moira continued to study dance as a dance major at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA. While at DeSales, Moira performed in ballet and modern works by faculty and guest artists including Doug Varone, Sean Curran, Trinette Singleton, and Tara Madsen. Moira also performed with the DeSales Dance Company, with the ACT I Theatre Company in productions of West Side Story (Shark Girl), Cabaret (Texas), and Crazy For You (Mitzi/dance captain), and in student choreographed works at DeSales and at American College Dance Festivals through out the U.S. Moira served as Treasurer for XTE, the Dance Honor Society, and taught at DeSales' Conservatory of Dance. She also studied at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and was chosen to study with Charlotte-Boyd Christensen at Muhlenberg College's Artist in Residence Workshop. Moira graduated magna cum laude in 2007 with her BA degree in Dance, as one of two recipients of the DeSales University Dance Ensemble Award, for excellence and leadership in performance. In the summer of 2007, Moira attended Doug Varone and Dancers' Summer Workshop at SUNY Purchase, and performed with inFluxdance in Found & Lost: Goals for 2002 at the Boulder International Fringe Festival and the San Francisco Fringe Festival. Moira then returned home and joined Annex Dance Company of the Lehigh Valley. With Annex, she has performed in the Philly Fringe Festival and at other Philadelphia venues, the Ice House in Bethlehem, PA, venues in NJ, and the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC. She continues to study dance at the Koresh School of Dance in Philadelphia, and at Dance New Amsterdam and Peridance in New York City. Moira also teaches dance at studios throughout south eastern Pennsylvania.
